Who can bear a broken spirit? – Jesus the burden bearer

Who can bear a broken spirit? - Jesus the burden bearer

Christians have an advantage over the world because we have the source of living hope that we have received as a result of His abundant mercy through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead (1 Peter 1:3). The bible makes it clear that if the Spirit that raised the Lord from the dead dwells in us, that Spirit will quicken our mortal body.

Sickness does not have a place in the body of a man whose spirit is regenerated and backed by the word of God. There are many people with a broken spirit. The answer to Solomon’s question “who can bear a broken spirit” is simple. It is Jesus that bears the brokenhearted. That is His mandate. He declared in the temple while reading from Isaiah that the Spirit of the Lord has anointed Him to preach the gospel to the poor and sent Him to heal the brokenhearted (Luke 4:18). Jesus said: “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:25). You must come to Jesus if you want that rest.

The good news is that you do not have to go far because He is near you because the bible says “the Lord is near to those who have a broken heart (Psalm 34:18)”
