Manifestation of God's presence - Individual
June 27th, 2021For God to visit us as a church and dwell with us, first, He needs to be present in the life of the individual members. Each child of God needs to remember that he or she is a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in him or her (1 Corinthians 3:16).
Please read Ephesians 2:19-22. These verses show us that we are citizens with other believers and members of the household of God. The foundation of the church is made up of the apostles and prophets and Jesus Christ is the cornerstone. We are part of this building.
Paul in his letter to the Corinthians encouraged them to examine themselves as to whether they are in the faith or not. He told them to test themselves and remind them that Jesus Christ is in them (2 Corinthians 13:5).
Every child of God should continually examine themselves and ask that question of whether they are still in the faith. God’s presence is made possible through the individual. You could make His presence in the church possible or impossible. If an unbeliever walks into the church and finds salvation – your individual effort to foster the presence of God will be remembered by God. Ephesians 6: 8, Proverbs 19:17, Matthew 10:42, Matthew 25:31-46.
